Club Information

On this page you will find information on the various clubs that available for GMC owners.  These clubs meet on a regular basis at different locations around the United States.  These meetings are called Rallies.  They are a forum for great camaraderie, socialization and friendships.  They offer informative lectures and how to demonstrations.  Put luck dinners, social hours and seminars are a staple at just about every rally.

Family Motor Coach Association

The Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA) is an international organization of families who own and enjoy the recreational use of motor homes.  Since 1963, FMCA has issued more than 350,000 memberships.  These members look to the association as their source of information about all facets of motor home ownership and travel.  FMCA is owned by its membership, governed by elected officers and has a national headquarters that conducts its business affairs.  Membership in FMCA is a prerequisite of all of the following clubs.

Motorhomes International

GMC Motorhomes International was formed July 21, 1982, as a chapter of FMCA, to provide GMC owners camaraderie and the exchange of technical and non-technical information at semi-annual conventions and in a quarterly newsletter to help keep the classic GMC motor home on the road.

Cascaders

GMC Cascaders are made up of GMC motor home owners in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Membership numbers about 140 GMC coaches. The principal objective of the club is the preservation and maintenance of our GMC  motor homes.  Rallies are held every other month, February through December at various locations throughout the Northwest and Canada. These provide an opportunity for members to share information on operation and maintenance, parts availability, mechanical updating and “how to” ideas for the interior as well as the exterior of the GMC. Of course, we always take time to play, visiting various points of interest at rally locations and getting together for evening activities where we meet old friends and make new ones in an informal atmosphere.

Classics

GMC Classics Club is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the GMC Motor Coach. These timeless coaches are truly a delight to own, tinker with, and of course travel in.  Members travel from four states, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas to four rallies a year. These rallies, hosted by volunteers, are a time for socializing, entertaining, sharing ideas, technical sessions, flea markets, crafts, fish fries, dancing, barbecues, costume parties, card games, dominoes, repairing coaches, showing off coaches, a little bragging about family and anything else fun to do!

Heritage Cruisers

GMC Heritage Cruisers is a Chapter of the FMCA.  Today, there are over 90 coach member families, each owning a GMC Motor home and participating in "GMCHC" activities held in an area of 200-mile radius of Niagara Falls. That area includes includes parts of the states of New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania and the Province of Ontario, truly international in scope and covering some of the most attractive and tourist-oriented parts of North America!  Enjoy the socializing, sharing of travel stories, comparing our coaches, and exchange of ideas, inventions and technical prowess in the process of maintaining our classic "GMC's".

Mountainaires

GMC Mountainaires is a chapter of the FMCA with members who have a special interest in the care, preservation and active use of the classic GMC motor homes.  Its membership is drawn mainly from, but is not limited to, the area within a 500 mile radius of Denver, Colorado. The purpose of the chapter is to promote social, recreational and information exchange activities which provide for the enjoyment and pleasurable use of family member coaches.

Pacific Cruisers

GMC Pacific Cruisers in a chapter of FMCA, and is a group of GMC motor home owners from Southern California. The chapter purpose is to further the mutual association, membership, enjoyment and common interest of GMC motor home owners, their families and friends, and to enjoy a mutual affiliation and common membership with members of the FMCA.  The chapter holds rallies several times each year. Although a large amount of rally time is spent in social fellowship, members are eager to share and learn more about their "out of production" GMC coaches; how things work, where to get parts, who can fix it, etc. Maintenance and service tips, and remodeling ideas are usually shared throughout each rally on an individual basis. Also, group discussions on coach systems and maintenance procedures are often held during rallies.

Saguaro Jetset

GMC Saguaro Jetset motor home club is a Chapter of FMCA. Our club was founded in 1977, and is comprised of members who currently own a classic  GMC motor home (or did at the time they joined the club), and live in or otherwise have an interest in Arizona.  Our club holds organized monthly rallies during the Arizona "motor home season" (typically September/October to April/May), with the GMC motor home as our focal point. We have members from all over the U.S. and Canada who enjoy getting together for technical support, fun, food and fellowship.

Sunshine Statesmen

GMC Sunshine Statesmen was founded in 1977 and is a club made up of  owners 
of the classic GMC Motor homes.  They have over 150 GMC Motor homes in our Florida club.  We host a weekend rally each month from September through May somewhere in the sunny state of Florida.

Western States

GMC Western States is a chapter of the FMCA and draws its membership mainly from the 11 western states and 3 western provinces of Canada. The chapter purpose is to promote the preservation of the GMC motor home, with technical programs of professional seminars, and to further the mutual association, enjoyment and common interest of GMC motor home owners. We implement this objective by holding two rallies (we call them roundups) each year and publishing news- letters with technical support and items of interest four times yearly

Dixielanders

GMC DIXIELANDERS is a chapter of the FMCA with members who have a special interest in the care, preservation and active use of the GMC motor home.  Its  membership is drawn mainly from the 10 southeastern states. The chapter purpose is to promote social, recreational and informational exchange activities which provide for the enjoyment and pleasurable use of family member coaches.

Great Lakers

Great Lakers are one of the largest regional product orientated GMC Clubs in the FMCA.  The club presently includes over 200 members from California, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee,  Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Canada.   The Club holds rallies each month, May through October, on the second full weekend of that month (Friday must fall in that month for the weekend to be counted in the month). A birthday party has been held in January at a hotel with a dinner and varied activities.

Great Mountain Classics

Great Mountain Classics was organized in late 2003, as an excuse for like minded people (owners of these beasts we call motor homes) to get together once a month and have dinner. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Golden Corral restaurant located in West Jordan, Utah, at 6:30 pm.  They call these meetings "Come if you can dinners". They try to get together a couple of times each year with their coaches, camping, if you will. They also try to have a work party once or twice a year, where they get together so the women can play games and the men help each other with their coaches.

Greater Midwest Classics

GMC Greater Midwest Classics motor home club was formed in the Spring of 1991, and is a chapter of the FMCA. In the Fall of 1990, a group of Midwest area GMC owners were attending the GMC International convention at Mackinaw, MI., a sign was put up asking all the Minnesota GMC owners to meet with the idea of forming a Midwest area club. At this rather informal meeting, it was agreed to continue to pursue the forming of a Midwest area club.
